Join Our Team – Caddy Technician

Birdie Express is looking for a motivated, friendly, and dependable Caddy Technician to join our team! As a Caddy Technician, you’ll be responsible for setting up, managing, and breaking down our mobile golf simulator at events. You’ll assist guests, ensure the simulator runs smoothly, and create a fun, engaging experience for players. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys golf, working with people, and doesn’t mind some light physical work. Plenty of training will be provided to ensure you’re ready for the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and break down the mobile golf simulator at event locations.
  • Run the event and ensure a smooth, enjoyable experience for all participants.
  • Keep players engaged and assist them with the simulator as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between guests, the bar/venue manager, and Birdie Express management.
  • Pick up the golf simulator from its storage location before events and return it afterward.

Compensation & Requirements:

  • Pay is based on event duration – setup, breakdown, and travel time are not included in hourly pay.
  • $20 per hour when working alongside another Birdie Express employee.
  • $40 per hour when managing an event independently.
  • Must have your own vehicle for transportation.
  • If the event is more than 1 hour from the simulator’s storage facility, fuel costs will be covered.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift up to 150 lbs of equipment.
  • Handy and comfortable with basic setup and troubleshooting.
  • Tech-savvy – able to operate and troubleshoot a golf simulator.
  • Personable and friendly with strong customer service skills.
  • Passion for golf with some golf experience (doesn’t have to be professional, just a good understanding of the game).

Availability:

  • Events typically begin at 6 or 7 PM and run until 9 to 11 PM.
  • Setup and breakdown usually take about 30-40 minutes, so you’ll need to account for that, along with travel time.
  • Events are generally held on Wednesday or Thursday nights, or Saturdays and Sundays.
  • You will receive up to 4 weeks' notice for each event.
